PCN Appoints Former US Air Force COS General Norton A. Schwartz as Advisory Board Chair to Drive Strategic Technology Initiatives

Portland, OR — May 11, 2026 — The Provenance Chain™ Network (PCN), a commercial trust infrastructure platform for AI and supply chains, today announced the appointment of General Norton “Norty” Schwartz (Ret.), the former Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, as the Chair of its Advisory Board. In this role, Gen. Schwartz will advise the PCN on strategic intellectual property (IP) licensing initiatives and US government deployment strategy as PCN expands its platform across microelectronics and the industrial base.
Gen. Schwartz brings decades of leadership experience at the highest levels of the U.S. military, including service as the 19th Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force. He was responsible for organizing, training, and equipping more than 680,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve, and civilian personnel, while advising the Secretary of the Air Force and serving as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He also headed Business Executives for National Security (BENS) to enable US business leaders to create best practices in the national security area, and most recently served as President and CEO of the Institute for Defense Analysis, a prominent DOD federally funded R&D Center.
